We are more than our physical body. That is why I offer holistic treatments at Balance for life. I would like to explain a little bit more about my view of holistic health and I would love to hear from you and what you think about that.

Our body follows the mind every second, every moment we make decisions, decisions about how this feels in relation to you and the sum of your experiences. The body creates the chemistry to fit those thoughts. What if we constantly willingly or unwillingly surround ourselves with people or situations that we find challenging and stressful in some way, triggering emotions like anger, fear, sadness. The body will react and make changes according to those emotions. producing Adrenalin to enable us to fight or flee, Posture changes through increased tension in neck (might be connected to fear; need for protection...) shoulders (might be protecting heart, not allowed to breath fully...too much burden too much responsibility ...and so on)or lower back (material issues, no support, supporting others too much...) In my experience and believe it is important for self-healing to find what is going on with the mind and the heart. Identifying negative-patterns, -believes and -emotions will enable the person to become more aware of what is going on in their mind and how it does affect their body. With the help of a simple kinesiology muscle test the client's body will disclose what needs to be addressed first at that moment in time. Flower essences assist in balancing the mind and heart with their specific issue as well as a guided meditation which deepens the level and allows the subconscious mind to pick up the changes that need to happen for that person. Holistic means the whole; addressing the whole person. Each part of the body is reflected in the smallest part of the body. That is why reflexology and kinesiology works. How you perceive your life will have an effect on your body as a whole and to the smallest cell in your body. Nothing stands alone, everything is connected...we are all part of a whole, we are all connected. Spiritually feeling connected to a Greater ( god, the universe or else) helps tremendously with a person's healing. Gratitude, love and respect for self and others, finding your unique path in life, your unique gift and service to the world, acknowledging negative emotions and letting go of them, gaining insight about yourself and your "buttons", looking after your body with nutrition, exercise and care, all are key to holistic health, joy and happiness.
